How do should I go about fighting my case from this charge when it was in self defense and the case is about 8 months old and out of no where I been issued a warrant, How can I beat this?

"Beat this"? By effectively presenting a valid defense[s]. I hope you didn't think there was a magic wand in anyone's drawer that would keep you out of prison for the three years the charge carries [without prior 'strikes'].
Now, do you have a defense, know how to use it, how to practice law, and how to follow all the court rules and procedures for arraignment, motions, pretrial, preliminary hearing, trial, etc.?

Unfortunately, no attorney can advise you on how you can beat the case without fully examining the evidence against you, i.e., reading police reports, etc. You need to retain an attorney to also deal with the warrant. If you cannot afford a lawyer, the court will appoint one for you.
