Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
3 charges in one ticket
I got cited for doing 45 mph in a 25, open containers of alcohol, and possession of less than an oz. of marijuana, in Independence CA. How screwed am I, and what can I do to help my situation?

The only help you're going to get is through an attorney. Contact someone local to there.

These are not serious charges but worth the fight because in addition to fines there might be DMV points involved. A doctor's recommendation for medical use of marijuana, if you have one, also would be helpful. This situation is screaming for an attorney to get an optimal result for you. You could try to go with a public defender. Also, I have a good attorney friend who practices law in Independence.
