Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

647(a)

I have no criminal history other than the normal speeding ticket. I was up at a conservation camp visiting my fiancee, (6 weeks ago)he was rubbing my back. A correctional officer came up and ended our visit. Today in the mail, i got a letter from the D.A. asking for myself to go to the County Police station to get booked and released on my own recog. & then go to court in another 4 weeks. How can I be charged for something lewd when nothing was lewd was taking place. It is the CO's word against mine, Do I have a chance to win in court, or will they believe his words over mine.

Your case cannot be evaluated without further information. You should immediately retain an attorney and not discuss this matter with anyone but an attorney.

You are charged with a crime just like numerous other people, on the police officer's word. Defend it. Shut up, don't talk to the police or anyone else about it. Hire counsel to represent you to minimize your chance of jail. If this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me if you decide to get help doing it right.
