Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

2nd degree murder 187 (overturned from 1st ,87 - '95) 15to life. What would the standard probation period be? We cannot find the minute order stating probation period. Bizzare. Also, travel out of state has been revoked suddenly. Can we site a reference that states this as innapropriate?

I assume you mean parole, not probation. A person sentenced to life in prison and who is released on parole is subject to being on parole for life. That's in Penal Code section 3000.1

3000.1. (a) (1) In the case of any inmate sentenced under Section

1168 for any offense of first or second degree murder with a maximum

term of life imprisonment, the period of parole, if parole is

granted, shall be the remainder of the inmate's life.
