You are likely to face a domestic violence charge of Penal Code section 243(e)(1). It carries up to a year in county jail and/or a thousand dollar fine. Even if there's no jail time imposed, upon the granting of probation, you would be required to do a 52-week anger management program, potentially be the subject of a restraining order and other consequences.
The goal is to avoid a conviction in the first place. You really need an attorney in your corner. The DA isn't likely to listen to you directly. Harbor Court, where your case is headed, is notoriously unfriendly to DV cases upon conviction.
Let me know if you want to discuss representation. I practice in Orange County.

You're facing charges with potential jail and fines if convicted. The only advice that is worth anything is for you to get legal counsel who knows how and what to do to best represent you, using whatever credible facts and evidence you may have for motions and defenses at trial, if necessary. Most cases are 'plea bargained' to avoid the risk of loss at trial and mandatory sentencing upon conviction.. The attorney's job is to get a good 'deal' you can live with.
