Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
what if a 17 year old drives while drunk and kills someone. what is the legal consequences of that?

It depends. Vehicular manslaughter would be the most possible charge. If the 17 yr. old had a record of DUI's, then he could be charged with murder. The possibilities are anywhere from home on probation to prison for juveniles. A longer sentence is more likely, however more facts would have to given for me to be more particular.
