Advice on DUI Court Appearance
I have to appear in court for a DUI charge and two traffic tickets in Pasadena, CA on Sept. 16, 2003. I am now in Texas and will not be able to appear on the 16th. Please advice as to what is best for me to do.
Thank you.

Re: Advice on DUI Court Appearance
retain an attorney to make an appearance on your behalf, if at all possible, and explain your circumstances to the court so a bench warrant is hopefully avoided. if you would like a free consultation over the phone on this matter, please email me directly with your contact information as soon as possible today.

Thank you for your posting and your inquiry.
The best thing you can do is get an attorney. Only an attorney can appear for you if you can't be present, pursuant to Penal Code 977(a). I practice in Pasadena a lot, and the judges there are very good about letting counsel appear for their clients for all court appearances.
Do not let this court date slip by, as if either you, or an attorney on your behalf, acting for you, does not appear, there will be a warrant for your arrest, which may cause many problems for you.
I hope that this information helps you, but if you have further questions, want more information, or feel that you need legal representation, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. It's my pleasure to assist in any way that I can.

Hire an attorney to make an appearance for you, otherwise you will be facing a failure to appear and warrant for your arrest. Contact me if interested.
