Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Applying for State License
I have been convicted of a misdemeanor petty theft in 1997 but has been expunged since 2000. This sorry incident was my first and only criminal offense.
My question is, since Claifornia law on real estate licensure requires disclosure of any prior conviction, will I be still eligble of obtaining a real estate license?

Re: Applying for State License
If you disclose, it should be no problem. IF you fail to disclose it, they WILL find it anyway and you will be barred from licensure because of fraud.
