Charges are possible? I can't tell the time frames involved, but if charges are likely, cousel should be retained prior to any filing. If the app goes into the military he must be truthful. DJM

Charges are pending and likely will be filed. He'll get a letter telling him when to appear in court. He then will need an attorney to represent him. Feel free to contact me when that happens. He could also try to have his attorney contact the DA and negotiate a deal that they drop charges if he joins the service. Contact me if he wants to try that.

As to the service, the truth will set him free. If he lies, he'll suffer for it. Telling the truth will get the problem out onto the table for discussion. They will either accept him or not, based upon their rules and his presentation to them.
