Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was arressted on acharge of hs 11550

(a). i was held for 5 days without ever seeing a attrny or a judge.and was not infored of my charges or i was never charge for anything. now 4 months later i was charge for it. is this leagal?

On the few facts you have provided, it would appear that the current charges were properly filed and proceeded with. It would appear that you were arrested and booked into jail. Someone dropped the ball and you were not taken before the court within the statutory time. You were then released. The charges against you were not filed at the time of the original arrest, but 4 months later were filed. The statute of limitations for a misdemeanor is one year and many felonies 3 years. You should discuss the details of this incident with your attorney.
