Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

arrested & charged for horse theft

I was given a horse by my step mother. During a breakup with a girl friend I took the horse and put it at a friends. The Girlfriend had me arrested for theft. My stepmother has papers and can prove it belongs to her and she was letting me ride & keep it. How can they charge me with a felony and how do I defend myself.

Better to have a professional defend you. You would not believe the difference it makes when you are charged with an offense and have a retained attorney as opposed to a public defender. Call me directly at 16192223504 practicing in most Counties in California with 18 years experience.
