Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
arrested & charged for horse theft
I was given a horse by my step mother. During a breakup with a girl friend I took the horse and put it at a friends. The Girlfriend had me arrested for theft. My stepmother has papers and can prove it belongs to her and she was letting me ride & keep it. How can they charge me with a felony and how do I defend myself.

The first thing you do is hire a lawyer to get all the facts and represent you. If what you say is true, you'll be vindicated. Then you sue your ex girlfriend for damages. Good luck.

Better to have a professional defend you. You would not believe the difference it makes when you are charged with an offense and have a retained attorney as opposed to a public defender. Call me directly at 16192223504 practicing in most Counties in California with 18 years experience.
