Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
i was arrested for conspiracy to commit a crime because i had several empty gas cans along with an in line 12 volt fuel pump with hoses attached to it. The officer impounded my S.U.V. And then released me on my Own Recognince after 24 hours. My friend was also arrested and spent 10 days in jail but was not charged with conspiracy and they were his cans that were in my car.How do I go about disputeing the towing of my car and the charges?

Hire a good attorney who regularly practices in the court where your case will be heard, or apply to have one appointed, at the arraignment. Disputing the towing is the least of the concern I would say ... first deal with the criminal issue, then see if there's any civil issue you want to look into. Good luck!

You don't. Pay them and get the vehicle out asap because the fees mount up every day.
What you get to do is dispute the criminal charges. The only advice that is worth anything is for you to get legal counsel who knows how and what to do to best represent you, using whatever credible facts and evidence you may have for motions and defenses at trial, if necessary. Most cases are 'plea bargained' to avoid the risk of loss at trial and mandatory sentencing to the full term provided in the law upon conviction. The attorney's job is to get a good 'deal' you can live with, or prepare for trial. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me.
