Different drugs take different periods of time to get out of your system. You need a lawyer and you need to discuss this with him/her.
It will be very difficult to prove that negative when they have a positive drug test on you.
Only with a retained medical expert that can demonstrate how the positive test is 'wrong'. You have to hire one to do a retest of the sample and give his opinion. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be.
You can be arrested and convicted under Health and Safety Code Section 11550 even if you were not high at the time of your arrest. The positive drug test is strong evidence against you. If you told the police you had used drugs but not recently, that would make the case against you even stronger.
You need to get a good defense attorney right away.
Good luck.
