If this is your first offense, you are likely eligible for a drug diversion program; either Prop. 36 or PC 1000. Get an attorney, either by hiring one or accepting a court appointed public defender. You do have options other than doing jail time.

To face an unsympathetic DA seeking to put you in jail.

Any other questions?

You'd be well advised to get an attorney to try negotiate a better 'deal' than you'll get by yourself. Properly done, you should be able to avoid jail time. If serious about doing this, feel free to contact me.
