Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
arrested for a PC647 f
I was arrested for a 647f and I was wondering what am I looking at. I also had a DUI in 2005, and was wondering what that does to my case.

It's not a really serious charge, but you're 'looking at' possible jail, fines, alcohol program, probation, the likelihood of which are all 'enhanced' in the mind of the DA because of the prior conviction. As in, 'you didn't learn your lesson' yet.
Plus violation of probation on the earlier DUI unless it has already ended [probably].

A drunk in public is not the most serious case in the world. In many cases, upon a conviction, you'll get probation and a fine or community service. The prior DUI, if not a p/v, shouldn't hurt you too much. David Wallin
