As a Former Deputy District Attorney, who has been fighting these cases for 27 years, I can tell you that you need to call an experienced attorney and consult with him/her, by going over all the facts and getting the professional and expert advice, you need right now. The DA's office won't believe you weren't a part of this theft, with a record for the same conduct, so it is imperative you retain an experienced lawyer, who knows how to fight these cases and isn't afraid to go toe to toe with the DA's office. If you desire, you can call my office and I will ask you many questions, and give you some advice, at no cost to you. In either case, I wish you well......David Wallin
You haven't really asked a question, but if you were arrested, you need a good criminal defense attorney. I'd strongly suggest you find someone who focuses on criminal law and who routinely practices in the court where this case will be heard.
Sounds like a good defense to me. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be.
Who says there's no evidence? You don't know of any, but that doesn't mean there is none. If you've been charged, you need competent defense counsel asap. Even if the case against you is weak, you need a lawyer who can demonstrate its weakness.
Good luck.
