Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I got arrested for possession of firearms from a math order. I didn't know I couldn't be in possession, nor did I know the firearms where on my property. What can I do ? I am facing 9 felonies.

You have 3 choices. 1 a PD- I don't suggest this as your best option, as they usually don't do any defense work and you won't like the representation. 2. Inexperienced attorney or court-appointed attorney: see #1. 3). Get an experienced attorney with credentials, to get the best possible attorney. I suggest that this is your best and , really ONLY option. I offer FREE consults over the phone is you want to contact our firm. ......I wish you well................. David Wallin

Which is it, you didn't know you weren't allowed to possess firearms, or you didn't know they were there?

What can YOU do?

You can fight the charges. When arrested or charged with any crime, the proper questions are, can any evidence obtained in a test, search or confession be used against you, can you be convicted, and what can you do? Raise all appropriate defenses with whatever witnesses, evidence and sympathies are available for legal arguments, for evidence suppression or other motions, or for trial. You certainly face potential prison time, so handle it right. No amount of free 'tips and hints' from here or elsewhere are going to effectively help you in a complex legal defense. If you don't know how to represent yourself effectively against an experienced prosecutor intending to convict, then hire an attorney that does, who will try to get a dismissal, diversion program, reduction, or other decent outcome through plea bargain, or take it to trial if appropriate.

If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help, using whatever defenses there may be. I've been doing these cases for over 35 years.
