Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
If I was arrested, posted bail with a bondsman and they have never pressed any charges.. Do i have to keep paying the bondsman or will I get in trouble? Thank you for any help!!!

Your bond payment is the insurance premium you pay to stay out of jail pending trial. You are not entitled to refund anymore than to your car insurance premiums back if you don't have a wreck. Go talk to the bondsman and see what you can negotiate.

Under your bail contract, you are probably required to make annual premiums until the matter is resolved and bail is exonerrated. As Mr. Nelson says, the premiums you have paid are not refundable, and your bail contract with the bail bondsman will point that out.
