do you get arrested if someone presses battery charges against you?

That is the point of someone 'pressing' charges. If the police accept the filing, meaning they think there was a crime and you did it, then YES there would be an arrest warrant issued for you.
If that is your situation, then you should 'shut up' and hire an attorney pronto. He may be able to get you voluntarily turned in to avoid you being located and taken away in cuffs. If serious about hiring experienced counsel, contact me at 714-960-7584
