Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Assault

Is it a crime to have unprotected sex with someone when you knowingly have Hepitis C (transmitted through sex and needles) and not inform them so they can make an informed choice wheather to have sex?

This happened to me and I'm very angry. I asked about STDs and they said 'No'. Hep C can be deadly and the treatment is extensive. I feel like it must be a crime, is it?

Re: Assault

i don't think it is crime and you would need to prove intent.
