Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was assaulted in the parking lot at Walmart by a woman in her vehicle. The D.A. is calling it "mutual combat" because the police officer that took the report wrote my statement wrong. There is video from Walmart security that shows I did not do what he says I said I did. What can I do to correct this?

Correct it? Nothing.

Use the video as evidence in any criminal or civil case.

If you are charged with any crime, and are serious about hiring counsel to help in this, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight this and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses there may be.

Unless, I read your note wrong, you are not charged and the DA had indicated that neither you or the other party will be charged. At the same time if I read you right you want the other party to be charged. If this is correct and your injuries are minor you sue the other person in small claims courts. As soon as you file the suit you get a subpoena duces tacum from the clerk's office and have it served on Walmart. Once you get the video you show it to the DA. If the injuries are more than minor you need an attorney.

If you are charged, or if you may be charged you should have no contact with the DA and you should get an attorney immediately.
