Assisted Suicide

What is the legal obligation of an individual that just found out that someone they knew assisted their parent with suicide 16 years ago? Also, this individual inherited money/assets due to the death.

You could report it to the police. There is no statute of limitations on murder. After doing that, consult with an attorney to see if there is any civil cause of action still available after all that time passed. Feel free to contact me if serious.
