Assualt Weapons

Hello i live In california and in 1989 I purchased a ruger mini14 ranch rifle. i recently have been charged with possesion of anassualt weapon . Ihave current paperwork from the Dept of justice that shows I am the registered owner but I have been to court two times and neither the judge or district attorney will even look at it they say I must have an attorney present.What are my options

You've already been told your option by the court: hire an attorney.

Find one experienced in firearms law in your area. I'd help you if it were in SoCal, but I'd have to charge you too much for the travel time to make it practical for you.

Hire a lawyer. If you cannot afford one, request the court to appoint a public defender for you.
