Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Attorney win/loss records
How does one go about finding a specific attorney's win/loss record? Is there an online source I can use to get that information?

I'm not sure that information would be meaningful or useful in your decision to retain or not retain a particular attorney, since there are so many variables involved. The closest thing I can think of is PACER, the federal courts' online system, where you can search by attorney names. But it would take time and legwork to plow through the case records at .08/page to see if the case was "won," even that can be misleading, because what if the defendant decides to plead guilty and not risk going to trial? Is that a loss? What if the attorney would have prevailed at the trial? I know an attorney who specializes in death penalty cases, for him life-without-parole is a "win."
You could go to your local courthouse and watch some trials, or ask around.
