Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
My aunt was raped in May 2012 by her cousins boyfriend. She called the police right after the attack, went to be examined at the hospital, then a few days later the police had her contact her attacker (which he never denied the rape). It is now December 2012 and he has never been brought in for questioning and another detective is now assigned to the case. My question is when the police finally question him, is this case going to be strong enough for them to prosecute him? Or did they wait too long?

Ask the police, they are the only ones with any knowledge.
