Auto Theft
I have in my possesion a automobile that is owned by a person that owes my a large sum of money. Can that person accuse me of Auto Theft?

Yes, if he demands it back and you refuse.
Sue for what you are owed, but you have no right to keep the car unless you can prove he gave it to you to hold as collateral.
Sue in small claims court if under $7500. If over that, get an attorney to file in Superior court. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing.
