Background checks
Is there anything I can do to hide a misdameaner? About 15
years ago I committed a petty theft,did community service and completed everything the court asked. Is there anything
I can do so when a background check is done this doesn't show up

Once a misdemeanor has been sucessully completed, you can get the matter expunged. If this is something you would like to do, please contact my office at 310/277-1707 so that we can discuss the process.

Misdemeanors can be expunged if you have had no further trouble with the law; call if you are interested in doing so. 714-960-7584

This procedure is routinely done by the probation department in many counties. There is a minimal charge for this service. Before expunging the charge be sure that is was charged as a misdemeanor rather than a felony. If it is a felony have it reduced to a misdemeanor under penal code section 17 prior to having it expunged.
