Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

bad checks

I'd been working for this company for about 2 years. About 6 or 7 months ago the company started issuing checks to it's employees but the thing is, we couldn't cash them. They kept telling us that they would tell us when we would be able to cash them. They would tell us to cash a check every once in a while, their story was that they were waiting on a big check to cover the paychecks they owed us. Is there something I can do to get the money I earned? What are my options? I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with some advice.

Re: bad checks

You can file a claim with the Labor Commissioner. It would be helpful to have you and the whole group of employees affected by this file jointly at the same time. Feel free to contact me if you want legal help in representing you in the hearings and trial of this matter. I've been doing this cases for over 20 years.
