Re: can bail post after arrainment
You can post bail now, or you can wait until a judge reviews and possibly lowers the bail. Your son should be brought to a court within 48 court hours of the time of his arrest (usually within 2 days not counting weekends or holidays). However, sometimes the bail goes up when it gets to court, so there may be some incentive to post it now, get him out and then deal with it all. You don't include enough facts in your post to really know what's best to do, so I suggest that you contact a criminal lawyer in your area to discuss these issues more fully and get better advice. Re: can bail post after arrainment
I'm concerned that you are willing to subject him to all the risks and dangers of unnecessarily remaining in jail for days before the arraignment. However, you can wait until arraignment to request O.R., or then post bail if it is denied. Either way, he needs competent counsel ASAP, and you should be finding it for him. Contact me if interested in discussing representing him.
