Re: Bail Reduction

Generally speaking arguments regarding bail are made at arraignment and at something called bail review hearing if the defense attorney requests such a hearing. The probation department will generally submit their own report for the purposes of the bail review hearing. They are supposed to talk to friends, family and any other contacts provided by the defendant to see whether he/she has strong community ties and presents flight risk.

Theoretically, you could make an argument regarding bail at every single court hearing. However, once bail is set the judge is not going to touch it unless there has been some significant change in circumstances, some new development which favors lowering the bail.

With everything said, you have virtually no chance of having bail reduced on charges of robbery and murder.

Re: Bail Reduction

You can certainly ask, but based on the charges, you are not likely to see a reduction.

Re: Bail Reduction

You can ask as many times as you like. Just don't expect to succeed unless you can show good legal cause why it should be reduced. For a murder charge, it's certainly not going to be reduced much if any, so don't waste your time and attorney fees. Focus on defending the charges.
