mY BOYFRIEND AND HIS FRIEND ARE BOTH UNDER THE SAME CASE ABOUT A WEAPON. HIS FRIEND NOW WANTS TO TELL THE TRUTH SO IT WILL NOT HAVE TO GO TO TRIAL BUT HIS PUBLIC DEFENDER KEEPS TELLIGN HIM NO. HOW DOES HE OVER RULE THIS AND GET THE TRUTH OUT AT THE NEXT COURT DATE TO THE JUDGE?

A lawyer merely gives advice; he can plead guilty if he wants to, but he should fully understand the consequences. He certainly should attempt to get a plea bargain for a lesser sentence before the DA learns he is willing to plead guilty.
NO ONE overrules anything. If person A wants to testify, that is their right. If your boyfriend wants to testify that things were different, that is his right. Don't use ALL CAPS. Doesn't your boyfriend have a lawyer? What did he say?
