Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

my boyfriend and my friend went o jail because my friend was attempting to buy something with a access card that wasnt his. My boyfriend was playing his playstation in the truck parked outside of the store, now my friend runs to the truck as the police pull into the shopping center and so the police take them both into custody. Now They impound the truck and my boyfriend is supposed to be released on later that evening according to an alert i got from the frezno police department website. But they didnt release him until the 19 of jan. my boyfriend wasnt charged, but yet his viehcle got a search warrent and affidavit to be searched by the towing agency. Now my question is are they supposed to keep everything, in the truck because they kept my lap top, my sons nintendo ds, his psp, my ipod and my portable dvd player that i have bought with my money. According to the search warrent property or things used as the means of or intent of comitting a felony right.

Regardless of any 'hints and tips' you get from this site or anywhere else [and you are not getting 'legal advice' here], what are you proposing to do with them? You can't represent him in court. He needs an attorney to defend with whatever the evidence and facts may provide. If there are grounds for evidence suppression or dismissal motions, the attorney will make them.
