Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
My boyfriend was sentenced to 36 years to life in California and the sentence is unjust. He is in for gang related kidnapping and in order for the DA to get "max time" they put gang related in front of it. We are trying to get reduced time for him and we are not sure where to start.

Any argument about 'unjust' should have been made by his attorney at sentencing.
You now start with a motion for reconsideration of sentence if you have valid grounds, and you finish with an expensive appeal if you have valid grounds.

You need to get a good appellate attorney to review the case.
