Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Brass knuckles

I was arrested for having brass knuckles in the vehicle I was driving when it was not my vehicle and I hadn't drove it in over a month and it was used during that time I was gone. I had never seen the brass knuckles before and was put in handcuffs before my vehicle was even searched. What should I do?

You are missing some facts needed to give you an answer, however, based on what you wrote you probably have a good case. You should contact an attorney to discuss your situation

Defend/fight the charges with whatever evidence you have, file appropriate suppression motions, go to trial if necessary. Most people get an attorney to represent them, who knows what to do and how to do it. Feel free to contact me if you decide to do so.

Fight the charges with a lawyer - there is no shortcut here. It looks like you have a fightable case. If you cannot afford private counsel, you will get a public defender.
