Re: breaking and entering
I would highly recommend hiring an attorney to fight for you. The sooner the better. If you cannot hire an attorney you will be appointed a Public Defender.
If you need assistance with this case feel free to call me. Best of luck.
Re: breaking and entering
There is only one and the very best thing you can do - hire a good lawyer. Only an attorney who is thoroughly familiar with the facts of your case can advise you on your options and the best way to proceed in defending you at your first hearing in court.
Do not attempt to represent yourself. It is always a bad idea. If you cannot afford private counsel, a public defender will be appointed for you.

Hire an attorney that knows what he is doing, since you don't. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so. Apply for Public Defender if you can't afford private counsel.
Re: breaking and entering
They're talking prison and strikes. You're in deep.
The short answer of what you can do to help yourself is to get a criminal attorney ASAP to discuss the case. There are things you can do to get you in a better position to fight the case or negotiate a better deal.
You may have legal defenses, Miranda violations, search issues, etc.
This question is far beyond an internet answer for adequate representation.
