Do I need to bring a parent?
2 days before my 18th birthday i was caught with possesion of marijuana, around a .5 of a gram, Do I have to bring a parent or guardian with me to court? also is there any chance that it will get taken off my record when I turn 18. FYI, the ticket says that a court date or place has not been set.

Re: Do I need to bring a parent?
if you're charged as a juvenile, a conviction record will be sealed, and yes you have to have parents at juvenile court, and should have counsel.
If charged as an adult, you need counsel to help you get a decent deal for drug diversion or other reduced penalties and termination probation, if this is the first offense.
Feel free to contact either way.
