Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

brother

my brothers ex-fiance got raided in jan.09 well, that day they took a safe from her condo and in the safe contained a gun and drugs as well as my brothers id. now it happend to be that he had got out that same day from serving a probation violation. well in march he picked up a new case and is doing 14 months upstate, his ex- got arrested again in june for the case of jan.09 that they had not pressed charges for, and my brother has the charges for what was in the safe. could he get charged? what can he do?

I can speculate with the best, but when he knows what he faces if he is charged, then have him contact me if serious about getting legal counsel to represent him. Until then, who knows??
