Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Can my brother who is 17 get pulled out of football practice by officers to question him about a fight that happened between a kid he knows & another guy who is 18 yrs old that occured about an hour before practice, he was questioned in the presence of the principle, and officers my brother said he didn't know anything so the officer walked him out of the building and said he was being arrested my brother said for what I didn't do anything and he was taken to head quarters without being read his rights even before they fingerprinted and photographed him and innterrogated him he still was not read his rights I was informed after he was questioned and not by officers but by his principle, they told me he was arrested for code 415 disturbance. What should I do? That just doesn't seem right.

He was arrested, he faces charges, he needs to hire an attorney, he needs to exercise his 5th Amendment right to SHUT UP, if it isn't already too late. The rest is irrelevant except to his attorney, who will use whatever law, facts and evidence are available in his defense. Miranda Rights do NOT have to be given until after arrest, and then only if they seek to question for confession.
