Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
i was taken bt the police for 72 hr eval. because i had a migraine and said i felt like shooting myself... this person staying in the house called the police and said i had a gun....i was released after 12 hrs,,, they took my guns and when i tried to get them back the denied me saying i am 5150 . i have no criminal history or history of mental illness

You may not be 5150 status if you were not held over after, or for the full, initial 72 hour period. You can apply to the court for return of firearms if the police have denied that, and should so that you can determine if you are going to be a 'prohibited person' under federal law.
