Your 'friend' needs an attorney to help try to stay out of prison for commercial burglary or related felonies. Sure, there is always a chance of negotiating a plea to a reduced charge, depending on the facts, evidence, rap sheet of the friend, attitude of the prosecutor and judge, etc. Have the friend contact me if serious about getting the legal help she'll need.

Re: Burglary 459pc

The maximum for commercial burglary is generally 3 years in state prison. However, no attorney can give you an answer without knowing more details about your friend's record and facts of the case. Complete defense might be possible. My advice is for you/friend to talk to some attorneys.

I need more details. Are you sayiny she was caught while attempting to commit theft ? Entering a store while in possesion of those items, in itself does not constitute burglary and the charges should otherwise be contested. Call me.
