Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
CA Code 25658 - Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor
My friends and I (5 of us total) were sitting in the Dodger's stadium parking lot drinking beer. A couple cars over a guy starts coughing/choking (he was smoking) so I grabbed a can of beer and gave it to him. When I was near him I noticed both his buddies had 40's and gave him the unopened can of beer. About a minute later 3 undercover cops showed up and busted all of us. My buddies all got open container tickets and they gave me a 25658 since it turned out the kid was 20 years old. (They also got tickets, although they were smoking pot, so I don't know what type of ticket they got) Do I have any recourse here? I don't live in California so this is probably going to be expensive no matter how it goes.

Your actions as a Good Samaritan are commendable, but to make this good deed go unpunished you'll need legal representation. The good news is that the lawyer you retain will be able to appear in court without you, so you'll probably never have to come back to L.A. Let me know if I can help.

You've stated your 'defenses'. Your attorney can use them with your witnesses to present the best defense available. With them, including a 20 year old being the 'victim', your attorney should be able to negotiate a 'plea bargain' that doesn't include time, only fines and probation, or take it to trial if required. If serious about getting counsel to represent you, feel free to contact me.
