Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
i got caught shop lifting twice at riteaid. the first time waswhen i was 17 and they didnt call the cops and i payed the fime, the second time is when im 18 and they told me if i cooperate, they wont call the cops n said they would let me go. he said that i am lucky that i barely turned 18 but didnt give me a reason why. he made it seem like everything would be fine and not to worry about any consiquences and all i got to do is pay the fine. so i signed the paper and give them my info n everything. now im expecting a mail in 4 weeks to pay the fine. should i be worried about anything? i knew what i did was wrong, i know i should be ashame. please dont be giving me lectures. just tell me if i should be worry about anything or not? he said the fine would be up to 50-500 dollars. just tell me everything i need to know please.. :(
