Certificate of rehabilitation

If issued a Certificate of rehabilitation after a felony reduction and expungement, will you then have all of your rights restored to you, such as voting, gun ownership, real estate licensing or being able to be bonded? Or would the Govenor have to pardon me to have all rights returned?

No rights are 'automatically' restored. You should have requested restoration from the court as part of the process of 'rehab'. Now you have to file an appropriate motion to the court, or seek a pardon with specific restoration language. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so.

No. All rights are not summarily restored.

Yes, the governor would need to grant a pardon for those rights(priveleges) to be reinstated.

Should the Cert. of Rehab.be granted by the court; then it is forwarded for consideration as to a governor's pardon.

There is also a direct method to seek a pardon which does not involve the Cert. of Rehab.

Either way, both processes are not generously approved and each is specific as to requirements and nuiances for a successful result.
