Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I am being charged in California for possession of a dirk or dagger. I am currently being offered to plea out to a felony because of a conviction i have in Oregon and they say that under California law it would be considered a strike. The crime in Oregon was committed 21yrs ago when i was still a juvenile even though i charged as an adult.

Your attorney could raise any valid objections to use of the 'strike' through an appropriate motion. If you don't have counsel, you are fooling yourself about your ability to get the best deal possible, or to try the case if necessary. Consult with local counsel, or feel free to contact me if serious about hiring counsel.
