Embezzlement (as a misdemeanor) carries up to one year in county jail per count. Every case is unique, so to guess as to what your outcome would be would be just that - a total guess. You're looking at charges that can land you in county jail for a substantial period of time as well as be on your criminal record indefinitely. Do you have defenses? Can something be worked out to avoid a conviction? You'll need a good criminal defense attorney in the area where your charges are pending. If you cannot afford an attorney, you can request the services of the public defender.

This isn't something to take lightly. Get a lawyer.

Up to a year in jail on each potentially, unless the charges are amended by the DA as felonies at some point. What actually happens will be the result of all the facts and evidence, and your attorney's plea bargaining, motions, or the verdict at trial. If you are in SoCal and are serious about hiring counsel to represent you, ffel free to contact me.
