Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I was charged with a misdemeanor Domestic Violence, in 2002 and have restrictions under the Lautenberg Amendment. I want to join the Military, but cant because of Lautenberg. Can these restrictions be removed or do I have to wait the entire 10 years? Also, is there a possibility that after the ten years Lautenberg can continue to hold me hostage?

You can try to obtain a court order modifying the sentencing restrictions, 'for good cause'. No one can give you a guarantee of success, but if serious about pursuing this, feel free to contact me.
