Re: Charged with paying for and asault and battery

I would have to know more details. Have you been charged with conspiracy plus the assault? Aggravated assault? Solicitation only? How many counts, priors, etc. If you have been assigned a public defender, s/he can provide a very accurate range, plus advise you of any potential additional charges which might increase it further. If you are in southern California and considering retaining private defense counsel, feel free to contact me directly.

Re: Charged with paying for and assault and battery

Nothing, unless you get convicted. While I could dwell on the worst that could happen, I'd rather help you fight the charges and get the best possible outcome. Please feel free to contact me anytime to discuss.

If you've already decided to throw in the towel and all you want to know is how much time you're going to get, go ask a public defender. The answer will depend on many factors, for example was anyone hurt, what weapons were used, and what is your prior criminal history.

Prison or jail time; which and how long depends upon the actual charge[s] you are convicted of. There could be multiple felony or misdemeanor charges. If you're serious about getting counsel to help defend you, and if this is in SoCal, feel free to contact me.
