Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Hi I am charged with two violations. assault with a deadly weapon gbi and assault deadly weapon felony's . I pulled a knife when a family member wouldn't leave my house and became aggressive and violent and then he hit me knocking me out then is pressing charges against me he has a history of viol-ace and i do not. What do you think? Am I right to defend my house?

Right or not, you now face charges that could put you in prison for years. I don't suggest you try to go pro per against a professional prosecutor seeking to convict you.
