Re: child endangerment

Need more details. Sometimes an attorney can't get rid of the charge but can help to minimize the consequences. Your sister should get some consultation with an attorney.

Re: child endangerment

Thank you for your posting on LawGuru.com, and the opportunity for me to help you by responding to your posting.

The answer to your question is that having children in the car can subject her both to the child endangerment charges, as you've found out, and also be charged as an "enhancement" to the DUI case. Enhancements for child endangerment typically mean jail time, and as you might expect, that raises the stakes substantially.

I'd join in the recommendation of other attorneys here that she get an attorney experienced in DUI cases involving the child endangerment enhancement, such as our firm.

I hope this helps. If you do have other questions, feel that you need legal representation, or want legal advice, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. It's my pleasure to help in any way that I can. Thank you.

Re: child endangerment

She clearly needs an attorney to help minimize the risk of losing her kids because of this. She faces potential jail time and loss of custody. Feel free to have her contact me if she gets serious about this.
