The ONLY thing they need to know is "SHUT UP" and call an attorney. Do not speak to ANYONE about this except through your attorney.
Re: possible child molestation charges
What you need to know: Don't be interviewed by the police. Don't tell them your side of the story, doing so will hurt you not help you. Don't ask the police what your rights are. Don't say one word to the police except "I want a lawyer." Say it over and over again like a mantra. All together, now. "I want a lawyer." Also, don't consent to any searches and don't go to the police station for any reason unless they drag you down there in handcuffs.
Re: possible child molestation charges
The only thing that someone should know who is the position you have described is that they need an attorney. Law Enforcement is not interviewing you for anything else but to get information and use it against you. If you are being interviewed than you are under suspicion for the crime. You need an attorney. I would advise you to not speak with law enforcement unless you have an attorney present. I would suggest you get an attorney as soon as possible. I would also suggest that any invitation by law enforcement to come down to their office and talk with them is simply an easy way for them to arrest you. Do not agree to talk with them and do not agree to waive any of your rights regarding search & seizure. Find an attorney immediately. Good luck.

Getting interviewed by a detective, without attorney advising you or being present, could be one of the biggest mistakes of your life.
